What is water hyacinth

Water hyacinth/ Water hyacinth is a free-floating, fast-spreading plant in tropical waters. When completely covering the surface, it will block sunlight which disrupts biodiversity and affects river navigation. When harvested, biodiversity is restored. However, the trunk becomes a resource when it can be used to weave or braid into unique baskets to store items in the house.
